Ellen Goodman on SUVs. I couldn't have said it better and admittedly, I am the driver of a small car who is perpetually afraid of being squished (and nearly been squished more times than I can count) and I'm not quite sure why people need SUVs to drive in the cities - especially when it's just one person in the car!
